Blue Mesa Review is a literary magazine put out twice a year by the creative writing department at the University of New Mexico. We accept submissions of fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction from all over the country.
We also host a yearly fiction contest. Please send all fiction contest entries to:

All submissions for the Fiction contest must be postmarked by December 31, 2009. Do not exceed 7,000 words!
The winner will receive $1,000
send an SASE and a $15 check to UNM-BMR for each story entry.
Hello All our BMR Issue 22 Release party was a blast!
We had a great time reading from issue 22, and with Sam as our MC we were able to inform our fans of some great BMR history, and fun facts. Join us in the spring for the issue 23 release party! Until then, happy reading, writing , and of course submitting!!
